Carrie and I both moved to Leavells Crossing in Fredericksburg the same summer and lived houses away. She was my first friend here and made the summer before school started in middle school fun. This was before driver licenses, cell phones and caller i.d. I remember prank phone calls with her, crushes on boys, aqua netted bangs, a trip to Sandbridge,Va and babysitting neighbors kids together. We had lost touch but thanks to the wonder of Facebook had caught up a few years ago. She sounded very happy with her husband, her life and all the amazing places they were getting to go. I am in shock and so sad to hear this awful news. I had no idea Carrie was going through all this. To Carrie's family and husband, I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in our prayers.
